Be sure to use a brand of coconut oil that is all natural and contains no added chemicals. To apply coconut oil to your baby's eczema, simply soften the oil a bit, then apply it just like any other moisturizer.

2. Oatmeal Bath

Colloidal oatmeal is another natural remedy for eczema that parents can easily use. The avenanthramides in colloidal oatmeal provide itching and inflammation relief, which can help quickly reduce the majority of your baby's eczema symptoms.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends adding colloidal oatmeal to your baby's bath, but you can also apply it directly to your baby's skin in a paste formula.

3. Wet Wrap Therapy

If your baby experiences severe eczema flare-ups, wet wrap therapy can help add additional moisture to your baby's skin. The team at Healthline recommends doing wet wrap therapy immediately after bathtime by applying warm wet cotton clothing or wet gauze to the most affected areas of your baby's skin for three to eight hours.

4. Avoid Irritants

Sometimes the best remedy for your baby's eczema is actually proper prevention methods. According to the Mayo Clinic , itchy fabrics, harsh soaps, and temperature extremes can all lead to an eczema outbreak for your baby — all of which are avoidable.
